Hartford Graves has evolved into a new villain, Scarecrow.  Here Pierre explores that character, and others.

Pierre Perifel's character studies

Enter Pierre Perifel. He can do it all. REALLY WELL. He's diving into the project head first! I am so lucky to have a talent like him onboard with these ideas. Pierre oozes cool ideas.

I really want a character design sensibility for this thing in the spirit of Jamie Hewlett's Gorillaz stuff and Pierre's into it.

The Dark Side

My case for making a making a dark, comic-book inspired animated movie, which I've really yet to see in theaters.

Guillermo del Toro just teamed up with Disney to create a new label:

Strong evidence that there is demand for mainstream animated features that defy the conventional boundaries of pure comedy. Not a new concept for Walt, though it is for today's Disney:

Animation has become more sophisticated in its acting and visuals in recent years, pushing the genre into new arenas of story and character.

Like the Incredibles, Lucy will be a fusion of the family-friendly animated feature and the superhero blockbuster. A gritty story told with strong characters in a visually rich world.

Hartford Graves

I was playing with this idea of a vain, somewhat suave villain, Hartford Graves.  I'm not so sure it's right yet though.
